GIGA appoints François-Xavier Dussart as Secretary General
The Green Industrial Grids Association (GIGA) has appointed François-Xavier Dussart as its Secretary General. With more than 20 years of experience in EU public affairs spanning the energy and technology sectors, Dussart will lead the association as it enters its next phase of development.
Brussels, 14 September 2026 – The Green Industrial Grids Association (GIGA) today announces the appointment of François-Xavier Dussart as its Secretary General, effective from today. His appointment marks an important next step for GIGA following its launch in January 2026.
Dussart brings more than two decades of experience in European public affairs, with a career spanning the energy and technology sectors. His experience across various industries brings a perspective well aligned with GIGA’s diverse cross-sector membership.
Commenting on his appointment, François-Xavier Dussart, incoming Secretary General of GIGA, said:
“I am delighted to be joining GIGA at such a pivotal moment for Europe’s electricity system. As industries such as metals, chemicals, food and beverages, transport and digital infrastructure pursue their electrification, Europe must ensure its grids can support this transformation. GIGA brings together forward-looking companies with the ambition to electrify, use clean and secure electricity, and the practical experience of the challenges involved. I look forward to working with our members, policymakers, regulators, system operators and the wider energy community to bring that perspective into the debate, grow the association and help ensure the development of Europe’s electricity grids keeps pace with its electrification ambitions.”
